ABOUT
A working conference on ESG regulation, reporting and practice
Enhancing Sustainability, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Regulation and Reporting, and Innovation
THE 2026 STRAPLINE
Towards a More Sustainable and Transparent Future
Why this conference exists
ESG Qatar brings regulation, capital and practice into one room: government policymakers, rating agencies, investors, and the executives responsible for reporting. The third edition focuses on advanced regulation and reporting, green finance, innovation, and hands-on workshops on GRI, SASB, TCFD and ISSB standards.
The third edition convenes as QFMA disclosure requirements take effect for all listed companies - in strategic partnership with QNB and in cooperation with ISEP (UK).
Expected outcomes - 2026
- Deeper understanding and practical application of ESG standards across sectors in Qatar and the region.
- Stronger networks among international and local sustainability stakeholders.
- Concrete action plans to embed ESG more deeply in business practice.
- Advanced capacity in environmental, social and governance reporting standards.
- Publication of the Doha Recommendations 2026 to accelerate the transition to a sustainable green economy.

HOW ISEP CAME TO BE
1998
IEMA is formed by the merger of three bodies: the Institute of Environmental Assessment, made up largely of corporate members; the Environmental Auditors Registration Association (EARA), made up of individual professionals working in environmental assessment; and the Institute of Environmental Management.
2014
IEMA merges with the Global Association of Corporate Sustainability Officers, bringing corporate sustainability into the environmental agenda and broadening the institute's work across both environmental management and sustainability.
2025
The institute becomes the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP), representing sustainability and environmental professionals worldwide across government, business and society.
